Christmas Sugar Cookies

My best friend Kayla and I made the most delicious almond sugar cookies last week when I was staying with her in Calgary. It is really tough to live over 3000 kms from your bff, but when we get together it’s like we were never apart. It was so nice to spend some quality time together and work on something creative. Because we are both in the beginning stages of new blogs, we decided to embark on this cookie adventure and both share it on our respective blogs.

I’ve eaten many sugar cookies in my life, but these are hands down the best I’ve had. The almond extract combined with the sweet glaze-like icing make these to die for. If you are planning on making sugar cookies this holiday season, make these ones and you won’t regret it!

You can find the cookie recipe here.

The icing recipe is here.

To commemorate our fun times, we created this funny little video.

I just wanted to wish you all a very merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy some time with the people that you love, even if you don’t make a video to document it like we did. 😉

Please let me know if you make these cookies. I’d love to hear how they turn out. You can e-mail me at or find me on Facebook.

Happy baking!!
